In my practice, I defend people against the following:
- Municipal court practice: I believe that defendants in municipal court cases deserve the same high level of representation as individuals charged with felonies. Cases handled in municipal court commonly include drug possession, domestic violence and assault, and theft crimes, among others.
- DUI charges: I will protect your rights in the administrative hearing regarding suspension or revocation of your driver's license as well as the criminal proceeding.
- Traffic violations: I will aggressively defend you on charges of speeding, running red lights, reckless driving and other moving violations. You don't have to simply accept your ticket, plead guilty and pay a fine. I can help you minimize the long term consequences, such as increased insurance rates or driver's license suspension. In some cases, I may be able to handle your claim entirely over the phone, minimizing your need to travel and maximizing your ability to fight your ticket.
- Driving with a suspended or revoked license: I will work closely with you, with prosecutors, and with the court to minimize the consequences of a citation for driving on a suspended or revoked license and I will work hard on your behalf to protect your driving privileges.
- Careless driving charges: If you have been charged with careless driving as a result of a car accident, I will work hard to keep the accident off your record and avoid the suspension of your driver's license, depending on the facts of your case, i.e. you drove without proof of insurance.
